We are looking for talented individuals to join our innovative team of product, tech, and design leaders committed to questioning the status quo. As a Data Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of building and bringing these tools to market.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support full-stack technical solutions.
• Work with experienced developers in machine learning, microservices, and full-stack systems.
• Utilize programming languages like Java, Scala, Python, and open-source databases, along with cloud data warehousing services such as Databricks and Snowflake.
• Stay updated on tech trends, experiment with new technologies, participate in tech communities, and mentor colleagues.
• Partner with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans financially.
• Perform unit testing and code reviews to ensure high-quality, performance-tuned code.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum 3 years of application development experience (internship experience not applicable)
• At least 1 year of experience in big data technologies

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years in application development with Python, SQL, Scala, or Java
• 2+ years experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• 3+ years with distributed data/compute tools (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.)
• Experience with real-time data streaming applications
• 2+ years working with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
• 2+ years in data warehousing (Databricks, Snowflake)
• 3+ years familiarity with UNIX/Linux and shell scripting
• 2+ years practicing Agile engineering
