Job summary

Zühlke is seeking an Advanced Data Engineer to design, implement, and maintain data pipelines for diverse clients. You will partner with clients to understand their data needs and deliver tailored data solutions that enable business insights and data-driven decisions.

You will work with modern data architectures, cloud platforms, and a range of technologies to produce scalable, high-quality data products in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, or equivalent
• 3+ years in data or software engineering roles
• Experience building data products for data consumers
• Know-how in data architectures (Data Lake, Lakehouse, Medallion)
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Fabric, SageMaker)
• Proficient in Python and SQL
• Hands-on with Spark, Delta Lake, Airflow, Kafka, Kubernetes, Terraform, FastAPI
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases
• Comfort with structured/unstructured data (text, time-series, geospatial, etc.)
• Experience with Agile and DevOps practices
• Fluency in German and English

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines end-to-end
• Collaborate with Architects, Software Engineers, and Data Scientists
• Deliver data products that meet data consumer needs
• Build scalable, high-quality data sets and pipelines
• Explain technical solutions to stakeholders
• Work in an Agile, iterative environment
• Stay technically sharp and continuously learn new technologies
