Job summary

Machinify, a leading healthcare intelligence company, seeks a Senior Data Engineer to own end-to-end data pipelines for payer-facing products. You will model complex healthcare data, migrate legacy processes, and extend tooling for cross-team use.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in data engineering, strong SQL/Python, and experience with Snowflake/Databricks, dbt, and CI/CD practices. This role supports a fully remote US work model with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering with production ownership of pipelines.
• Strong SQL and Python.
• Strong data modeling: canonical and dimensional; handle history & adjustments.
• Experience with production dbt and workflow orchestration (Airflow or similar).
• Expertise with Snowflake and/or Databricks; Spark SQL experience.
• Data quality and CI/CD practices: validation, PRs, automated tests, deployment automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate reliable data pipelines for health plan data.
• Model complex healthcare data into clear canonical and analytical models.
• Migrate legacy processes into a common platform while preserving behavior.
• Extend and integrate tools/workflows for cross-team adoption.
• Impose data quality, testing, code review, and CI/CD discipline.
• Document work and review AI-generated outputs against ground truth.
