Job summary

Vultr is seeking an experienced data engineer to build and operate data pipelines feeding BigQuery with incremental loads and CDC. You will develop bronze, silver, and gold datasets and define shared business entities and reporting metrics.

You will collaborate with BI, data science, and engineering teams to deliver reliable, performant datasets and to shape data engineering standards for testing, deployment, security, and cost management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience with production pipeline ownership.
• Advanced SQL, strong Python, and hands-on BigQuery expertise.
• Experience with dbt, Airflow, and automated data quality controls.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate data pipelines from operational systems into BigQuery using incremental loading and change data capture.
• Develop bronze, silver, and gold datasets, including shared business entities and reporting metrics.
• Partner with BI, data science, and engineering teams to deliver reliable, performant datasets.
