Job summary

Softeta is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a banking sector client. The role focuses on building and optimizing data ingestion, processing, and storage pipelines with emphasis on reliability, security, and performance.

You will collaborate with analysts and engineers to translate data needs into robust ETL/ELT solutions, while gaining exposure to diverse banking processes and architectures.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in a data engineer role or similar; financial industry is a plus.
• Proven SQL and Python expertise; Cloud and ETL tooling experience valued.
• SQL and NoSQL databases; cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) required.
• Kubernetes and Docker; streaming pipelines (Kafka, Spark, Flink) knowledge.
• Airflow or dbt familiarity; data warehousing with Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift.
• Real-time/integration solutions, IaC and security awareness, DevOps exposure.
• Banking domain experience is a strong advantage; fluent English.
