Job summary

Trilliant Food & Nutrition is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines powering analytics across our manufacturing operations. You will collaborate with stakeholders, data scientists, and BI developers to turn raw data into trusted insights for operational excellence.

Responsibilities include building ETL workflows, modeling data, tuning SQL Server, and leveraging Azure data services.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of data engineering experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong SQL Server and T-SQL skills with performance tuning.
• Hands-on Azure data services experience (Data Factory, Synapse, ADLS Gen2).
• Proficient in Python for data processing and automation.
• Experience with Power BI and DAX optimization.
• Knowledge of data integration patterns, CDC, batch vs streaming.
• Experience integrating ERP data (Dynamics) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust ETL pipelines from on-prem and cloud sources.
• Model and transform data using star/snowflake schemas and data vault concepts.
• Administer and tune Microsoft SQL Server instances with complex queries.
• Leverage Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and related services for scalable workflows.
• Integrate ERP data (Dynamics) with manufacturing systems and MES.
• Collaborate with BI teams to prepare datasets for Power BI.
• Establish data quality, governance, and documentation standards.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and optimize pipelines for speed and cost.
• Mentor peers and contribute to tech roadmaps.
