Job summary

ParetoHealth in Utah is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and maintain serverless data pipelines on AWS for analytics and AI use cases.

You will own ingestions, transformations, and data models with Lambda, Glue, Athena, and S3, partner with Data Science for MLOps, and help scale data assets for healthcare data.

This role emphasizes cost efficiency, data quality, and collaboration with AI teams in a fast-growing, mission-driven company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, Math, Data Science, or related field.
• 5+ years in data engineering with production pipelines.
• Experience with AWS data services in production.
• Experience building data solutions for BI/AI initiatives.
• Strong communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain serverless data pipelines on AWS (Lambda, Glue, Athena, Step Functions, S3).
• Build versioned data models and feature stores.
• Develop ETL/ELT workflows ingesting data from internal apps and streams.
• Collaborate with Product, Underwriting, Analytics and AI stakeholders.
• Implement data quality controls, monitoring, and lineage tracking.
• Optimize serverless workloads and storage formats.
• Contribute to data engineering best practices and IaC using CDK.
• Collaborate on feature stores and model scoring pipelines.
• Experience with event-driven pipelines using Kafka/Kinesis.
• Troubleshoot data incidents and document data contracts.
• Document data models and promote data literacy.
