Job summary

Safe-Guard Products International in Atlanta, GA seeks a Data Engineer to lead complex data engineering projects and drive innovation in data architecture and automation. You will oversee end-to-end delivery, mentor junior engineers, design scalable data pipelines, and implement automation for ingestion, transformation, and deployment across cloud platforms.

Proficiency in SQL, Python, Airflow, Snowflake, and BI tools is required; strong leadership and PM skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
• 6–10 years of experience in data engineering.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with data pipeline tools (Airflow, DBT, Snowflake, AWS Glue).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with analytical tools (PowerBI, Looker, Tableau).
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Advanced knowledge of distributed data processing.
• Expertise in data modeling and data warehousing.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end delivery of large-scale data engineering initiatives.
• Guide and develop junior engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Design scalable and secure data architectures with architects.
• Implement automation for data ingestion, transformation, and deployment.
• Proactively monitor data pipelines and resolve technical issues.
