Job summary

DNV in San Diego, CA is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain data services, APIs, and AI-ready data foundations within the Data & AI Engineering team. This role emphasizes backend platforms, Python, SQL, and cloud-native technologies.

You will collaborate across Product, AI, Security, and Platform teams in a hybrid office setting, typically three days on-site or at client locations, with opportunities across DNV offices.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in CS, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years building production software, APIs, or data-driven solutions.
• Strong Python, SQL, and FastAPI experience.
• Design scalable, secure software systems and APIs.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, and DevOps delivery.
• Proficient with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and CI/CD.
• Excellent English communication and collaboration in global teams.
