Job summary

K&L Gates is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Enterprise Applications, Data, and AI Platforms group. You will design scalable Microsoft Fabric data platforms (Lakehouse/Warehouse) and establish engineering standards to support analytics and AI workloads.

You will lead data pipelines, govern data quality and security, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with business and technology leaders in an Agile DevOps environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years designing enterprise data platforms using Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience with SQL and Python for data transformation.
• Knowledge of data governance and security practices.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse and Warehouse.
• Establish data engineering standards and best practices.
• Develop data pipelines with Fabric Data Factory, Dataflow Gen2, and Notebooks.
• Mentor junior data engineers through code reviews and design sessions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in an Agile DevOps environment and support CI/CD.
