Job summary

Cornerstone Defense LLC seeks a Senior Data Engineer to join our AI/ML team in Tysons Corner, VA. This role requires active TS/SCI with Poly and experience deploying data pipelines and ML workloads in secure environments.

You will work with cross-disciplinary teams to operationalize data architectures, optimize ETL processes, and present analytical results to executives and program managers. Federal sector experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in data/ML engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS / IT management / Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years in data/ML engineering.
• Expert in ETL, data labeling, and data preparation.
• Experience with Cloudera, DataBricks, Snowflake, NiFi, Python, SQL, Kafka.
• Experience building data solutions in classified AWS environments up to IL6+.
• Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Operationalize data pipelines and ML tasks with the AI team.
• Deploy Python-native ML pipelines and perform data engineering tasks.
• Present results to diverse audiences in reports or presentations.
• Support security architecture and identity management integrations.
• Advise leadership and engage with senior executives at Federal agencies.
• Analyze program or system data to optimize performance.
