BMO Financial Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for Reporting Automation & AI in Downtown Chicago. The role focuses on designing automated risk-reporting pipelines, AI-enabled workflows, and modernization from SAS to Python.

The position is hybrid, based in Chicago, with 3 days in the office and Tuesday mandatory on-site. Strong SQL, Python, and Power BI skills are essential to build scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in reporting automation or data development.
• 3+ years of experience with Python and Shell scripting to automate reporting workflows.
• 2+ years of experience using Power BI and Power Query.
• 4+ years of dimensional modeling and data-warehouse concepts.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain automated reporting solutions for risk-reporting processes.
• Build and integrate AI-enabled workflows for data preparation, validation, and report generation.
• Develop Python and Shell applications to support reporting automation and monitor system health.
• Migrate SAS-based processes to Python-based solutions and Anaconda ecosystem.
• Create optimized data marts and star schemas for Power BI consumption.
• Develop and tune SQL queries to deliver accurate, high-performing outputs.
