Walmart is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Sunnyvale, CA to design and deploy scalable data solutions powering agent-enabled AI for Sam’s Club. Collaborate with AI/ML, product, and engineering teams to ensure data services are trustworthy, discoverable, and consumable by next‑gen agents.

Lead data health, governance, and semantic layer initiatives, enabling integration of structured/unstructured data for autonomous workflows with a strong focus on reliability and scalability.

Formación

• 4–6 years of Big Data development experience.
• 2–3 years on cloud platforms (GCP/Azure) with services like BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub.
• Strong data engineering practices and scalable pipelines.
• Experience designing semantic layers or knowledge graphs for agent power.
• Data modeling/architecture and impact on retrieval and relevance.
• Familiar with API design, SQL optimization, and large data sets.
• Hands-on with Kafka, Spark, and real-time data systems.
• CI/CD, DevOps, and observability for frontend/backend apps.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, test, and deploy scalable data solutions for AI agents.
• Collaborate with AI/ML and product teams to ensure data services are trustworthy and consumable.
• Contribute to data-first, agent-aware architecture across engineering teams.
• Prioritize data products to enable autonomous decision-making and context-rich recommendations.
• Enable integration between structured/unstructured data and AI agents for smarter responses.
