Job summary

Adoreal is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead architecture for the data warehouse and the curated layer, defining semantic definitions for metrics and establishing naming and lineage standards. You will guide migrations and ensure data quality while partnering with engineers to scale the platform.

You will apply deep SQL and Python skills on a modern cloud warehouse (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks) and leverage dbt, Airflow, Terraform, and data quality tooling.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering with end-to-end warehouse ownership.
• Deep SQL and Python in production on a modern cloud warehouse.
• Experience with Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks.
• Semantic/metrics layer design and data quality tooling (dbt, GE).
• AI tooling and LLM-enabled data workflows in production.

Responsibilities

• Own the target architecture for the warehouse and curated layer.
• Define semantic layer with one definition per business metric.
• Standards for naming, lineage, and data quality across the function.
• Migrate legacy data gradually to platform-managed processes.
• Collaborate with engineers daily and build a scalable data platform.
