Our client in Boston, MA seeks a Senior Data Engineer for a direct hire, onsite role with three days per week in the office. You will actively develop data pipelines and collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, finance and research teams to deliver enterprise-grade data systems.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in data engineering, hands-on experience with Snowflake, and familiarity with AI coding tools (Claude, Codex, ChatGPT, Cursor).

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering or a closely related software engineering role.
• Hands-on experience with agentic AI coding tools (Claude, Codex, ChatGPT, Cursor) with a view on effective usage and security.

Responsibilities

• Work hands-on with portfolio managers, traders, finance, operations and research analysts to contribute to investment systems.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences and uphold engineering quality.
