Job summary

Deloitte's GPS practice in the United States seeks a Data Engineer III to join the AI & Data team. You will design, build, and optimize batch and near-real-time data pipelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support analytics and AI initiatives.

You will contribute to data models, schemas, and cloud-based platform activities, while ensuring data quality, governance, and scalable delivery for government and public sector clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience developing, testing, and deploying data pipelines and ETL processes.
• 4+ years of experience in incident management.
• 4+ years of experience in data management.
• 4+ years of experience in data ingestion.
• 4+ years of experience leading technical teams or workstreams.
• 4+ years of experience managing stakeholder relationships.
• Active Secret security clearance with full adjudication.
• Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on client work.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining batch and near-real-time data pipelines using modern data engineering tools and frameworks.
• Building and optimizing data models, schemas, and storage solutions to support analytics, reporting, and artificial intelligence use cases.
• Integrating data from multiple structured and unstructured sources while ensuring data quality, lineage, and consistency across platforms.
• Supporting cloud-based data platform implementation activities, including deployment, monitoring, performance tuning, incident management, and issue resolution.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate business and technical requirements into scalable data engineering solutions and support delivery across project workstreams.
