Job summary

Capital One is seeking Data Engineers for Risk Tech to drive a major transformation by building data-driven, cloud-first solutions. You will work with risk management teams to deploy AI-powered data platforms and collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to deliver scalable pipelines and secure data architecture.

You will design, build, and deploy data pipelines, ensure data quality and security, and mentor peers while staying current with evolving technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
• At least 4 years of experience in application development.
• At least 2 years of experience with SQL.
• At least 2 years of experience with Python, Java, or Scala.
• At least 2 years of experience in data pipeline design and development.
• At least 2 years of experience in data modeling and end-to-end data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, and support technical solutions across full-stack tools and technologies.
• Influence a team of developers, data analysts and data scientists with ML, microservices, and lakehouse architectures.
• Use Python, Spark, and SQL with cloud data warehousing platforms like Databricks and Snowflake.
• Share passion for data trends, innovate with new tech, and mentor others in the data community.
• Deliver cloud-first data solutions in collaboration with product managers and software engineers.
• Independently design and deliver data solutions with minimal supervision.
