Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Data Engineer 4 (Manager IC) in Risk Tech to drive data-driven risk solutions with AI-enabled tools. You will collaborate across Agile teams, mentor peers, and help deploy scalable data platforms using Python, Spark, Databricks, and Snowflake.

With a strong emphasis on security, reliability and collaboration, you will design end-to-end data pipelines, champion best practices, and influence stakeholders across the organization to improve risk management outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related quantitative field.
• At least 4 years of application development experience.
• At least 2 years of distributed data experience.
• At least 2 years of SQL experience.
• At least 2 years of Python/Java/Scala experience.
• At least 2 years of data pipeline design and development experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support data solutions.
• Influence a team of developers, data analysts and data scientists.
• Utilize Python, Spark, and cloud data warehousing platforms (Databricks, Snowflake).
• Mentor other members of the data community and share knowledge.
• Deliver cloud-first data solutions that drive value for the business.
• Design and deliver scalable, secure data pipelines and architectures.
