Stellent IT LLC in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to modernize our data infrastructure and pioneer AI-enabled enterprise pipelines. The role focuses on building scalable data pipelines, exposing APIs via FastAPI, and connecting data environments with LLMs through MCP servers.

The position requires 5+ years in data engineering, strong Python/Java skills, Spark and SQL expertise, and onsite work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in our Charlotte office.

Competenze

• 5+ years of Data Engineering experience.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python and/or Java.
• Deep expertise in big data processing frameworks (Spark) and SQL databases.
• Proven track record of building APIs (specifically FastAPI or similar modern frameworks).
• Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or integrating AI/LLMs with backend data systems.
• Must be able to work onsite in our Charlotte office every Tuesday and Wednesday.

• Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Python, Java, advanced SQL, and Apache Spark.
• Develop high-performance APIs (using FastAPI) to expose complex financial data sets to internal applications.
• Build and deploy Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to securely connect our proprietary data environments with Large Language Models (LLMs).
