Appnovation Technologies is seeking a Senior Data Engineer, AI & Agents, to prepare enterprise domain data for AI agents and govern data assets. You will work across Databricks and Snowflake, transforming data, registering domain agents, and ensuring quality and secure access.

The role requires hands-on data engineering, governance, and strong stakeholder engagement. You will partner with business stakeholders to design data contracts, implement masking and security controls, and contribute to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/IS/Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of data engineering with modern warehousing and lakehouse platforms (Databricks and Snowflake preferred).
• Strong data engineering background with Databricks and Snowflake fluency.
• Experience building data agents or query interfaces over governed datasets (e.g., Snowflake Cortex or Genie).
• Advanced SQL with Spark/PySpark and orchestration (dbt, Airflow, or Databricks Workflows).
• Experience implementing data quality, observability, and governance controls.

Responsibilities

• Build and register domain data agents over governed tables at scale.
• Migrate lakehouse data, convert source tables to open formats (e.g., Iceberg).
• Generate and curate catalogue metadata for automation and data-contract workflows.
• Collaborate with stakeholders through iterative build, test, validation cycles.
