Job summary

Zeely AI is seeking a senior Data Engineer to design and scale our analytics infrastructure, including data collection, ETL/ELT, orchestration, backfills and monitoring. You will connect marketing platforms, billing systems, product events and internal databases to ensure reliable data delivery.

You will own the dbt layer and datasets for product, marketing, finance and experimentation analytics, implement data quality practices, and document sources, models and business logic to empower

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data analytics, BI or data engineering with 1.5+ years as a Data Engineer.
• Strong SQL and Python for large data volumes and integrations.
• Production experience with dbt and analytical modeling.
• Experience with a cloud data warehouse and scheduled pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop the company's analytics infrastructure: data collection, ETL/ELT, orchestration, backfills and monitoring
• Connect and maintain key data sources: marketing platforms, billing systems, product events and internal databases
• Build and maintain the dbt layer and prepared datasets for product, marketing, finance and experimentation analytics
• Implement data quality practices: tests, validations, reconciliation, freshness and schema change control
• Document sources, models and business logic

Requirements

• 5+ years in data analytics, BI or data engineering, including 1.5+ years as a Data Engineer
• Strong SQL and Python for large data volumes, ETL/ELT and API integrations
• Production experience with dbt and analytical modeling
• Experience with a cloud data warehouse
• Experience running scheduled data pipelines with Airflow, Prefect or cloud-native scheduling
• Understanding of CDC, replication, backfills and late-arriving data
• Practical data quality approach: tests, monitoring, alerts, source reconciliation
• Ownership mindset for stability, transparency and scalability

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GCP: BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Scheduler, GCS
• PostgreSQL DBA experience
