We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer:

• Tech Level: Senior
• Language Proficiency: Upper-Intermediate
• FTE: 1
• Employment type: Full time
• Candidate Location:No location restriction, but prefer a time zone not far from ours (Israel).
• Working Time Zone: CET (Israel)
• Start: asap
• Planned Work Duration: 6+ months

Customer Description:

The client is a fintech company focused on improving payment transaction success rates.

They provide advanced solutions that help businesses recover revenue by increasing approval rates for transactions.

Their technology works within existing infrastructure to support payment partners and platforms.

Project Phase: ongoing

• Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions

Hard Skills / Must Have:

• Data Engineering Expertise
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering roles
• Proven track record building data warehouses and BI ecosystems using best practices
• Experience with modern analytical databases (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift)
• Proficiency with data transformation tools (e.g., dbt, Dataform)
• Familiarity with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect)
• DevOps mindset and experience managing infrastructure as code
• Strong programming skills in Python or Java
• Advanced SQL skills, including query tuning and performance optimization
• Experience handling large-scale data systems in cloud environments.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and automation workflows
• Build end-to-end data solutions that support product, analytics, and business decision-making
• Define data requirements, architect systems, and develop robust data models
• Integrate backend logic into data flows to enable actionable insights
