Our team is looking for a Senior Data Engineer, who can work remotely within the United States.

Cherry Bekaert, one of the top public accounting firms in the country, is seeking a Data Engineer for our Application and Analytics team. This position can be based in Richmond, VA; Raleigh, NC; Tampa, FL; or remotely. The role involves driving data solutions, data quality initiatives, and supporting analytics and reporting needs.

If you enjoy variety and establishing new processes, and want to collaborate with executive and business leaders in Operations, HR, Finance, and Marketing, this role is for you. You will work independently on data architecture and integration, collaborating with peers and business partners to design top-tier data platforms. You will also lead the creation of visually appealing reports and dashboards to empower decision-making.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting data architecture, engineering, DBA, and data integration specialists to build and maintain the enterprise data lakehouse, supporting reporting and analytics.
• Defining data to facilitate easier integration and effective retrieval for internal and external use.
• Building and maintaining enterprise data models for analytics.
• Managing master and transaction data, including design and maintenance.
• Planning and delivering data integration solutions, monitoring risks, and ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
• Implementing data transformations, enterprise application interfaces, and system integrations, including cloud integrations and CSV data delivery.
• Creating best-in-class solutions using Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, APIs, and cloud platforms like Azure and Databricks.
• Implementing database administration tasks, including backups and restores.
• Gathering requirements from business partners to develop analytics solutions that enhance processes.
• Providing operational support for data integration and reporting needs.
• Establishing standards, policies, documentation, and governance for data solutions.
• Ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and risk policies.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience with enterprise data and analytics solutions.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with Databricks and Azure platform.
• Experience with ETL tools like Azure Data Factory.
• Experience working with APIs for cloud and SaaS solutions.
• Alteryx experience is a plus.

Our salary range for this position is $86,350 to $140,000, based on experience and other factors. We are committed to equal employment opportunities and will not sponsor work visas. Applications will be accepted for at least five days or until a suitable candidate is found.
