This position can be remote within the United States.

Cherry Bekaert, one of the top public accounting firms in the country, is seeking a Data Engineer for our Application and Analytics team. This role can be based in Richmond, VA; Raleigh, NC; Tampa, FL; or remotely. You will help drive the planning, modeling, building, and management of our data solutions and quality initiatives.

If you prefer variety and the challenge of establishing new processes over routine tasks, this role is for you. You will collaborate directly with our executive team and business leaders across Operations, HR, Finance, and Marketing to create data architectures and integrations. Your goal will be to deliver data that supports effective reporting and dashboards for decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Data Architecture: Support our data architecture, engineering, DBA, and integration specialists to ensure our enterprise data lakehouse supports reporting and analytics needs, including data modeling.
• Data Definition: Define data for easier integration and retrieval for internal applications and external communication.
• Data Modeling: Collaborate with data architects and engineers to build and maintain our enterprise data lake and employ data models for analytics.
• Data Management: Design and maintain master and transaction data.
• Solution Delivery: Work with project management to define scope, schedule, and monitor risks for data integration solutions.
• Data Transformations and Integration: Manage ETL processes, API integrations, cloud integrations, and data delivery.
• Architecture Development: Use tools like Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and APIs to integrate data from various enterprise solutions.
• Database Administration: Manage SQL Server installations, backups, and restores.
• Requirements Gathering: Work with business partners to identify metrics and develop analytics solutions.
• Operational Support: Assist various departments with data integration and reporting needs.
• Standards and Governance: Develop solutions following policies, documenting processes, and ensuring data governance and compliance.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience with enterprise data and analytics solutions.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with Databricks and Azure platform.
• Experience with ETL tools like Azure Data Factory.
• Experience working with APIs for cloud and SaaS solutions.

The salary range for this position is $86,350 to $140,000, based on experience and location.
