Job summary

You will build data pipelines, model data, and optimize performance across SQL Server and NoSQL databases, while applying Agile SDLC practices and modern cloud computing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; equivalent education/experience.
• 5–8 years of related experience.
• Experience in Agile SDLC methodology.
• Strong SQL and T-SQL programming.
• Hands-on experience building data/ETL pipelines and data warehouse solutions.
• Expertise in data modeling, database maintenance, monitoring and performance tuning (SQL Server, MongoDB, or NoSQL).
• Excellent analytical ability with large data sets.
• Strong written and verbal communication and precise documentation.
• Self-driven, independent, multi-tasking with team orientation.
• Familiarity with modern cloud computing technology.

Responsibilities

• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including automating manual work, optimizing data delivery, and redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability.
• Design, develop, code, test, and document architectures and applications to support advanced analytics and data processing needs.
• Partner with team members and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure design, architecture, and deliverables align with business requirements and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of data issues impacting platform reliability and data flow.
• Provide innovative recommendations to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
• Perform duties outside of normal work hours as required by business needs.
• Act as a data expert who drives innovation and supports highly visible initiatives with broad impact across the department.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 to 8 years of directly related experience.
• Experience working in Agile SDLC methodology.
• Strong SQL and T-SQL programming skills.
• Hands-on experience building data and ETL pipelines and data warehouse solutions.
• Demonstrated expertise in data modeling, database maintenance, monitoring, and performance tuning for SQL Server, MongoDB, or other NoSQL databases.
• Exceptional analytical ability when analyzing large and complex data sets.
• Ability to perform thorough testing and data validation to ensure accuracy of data transformations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including precise documentation practices.
• Self-driven team orientation with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
