Job description

About the Role

Our client is seeking a Senior Data & Distribution Platform Engineer to support enterprise data, marketing, and distribution applications for a global asset-management organization. This is a player-coach role combining hands‑on production support with technical guidance, team coordination, and stakeholder communication.

The ambition is to build an AI-native support model — combining engineering expertise, operational context, proactive monitoring, and automation to detect issues earlier, accelerate diagnosis, prevent recurrence, and continuously improve service reliability. If you'd rather build the tooling that prevents incidents than work a ticket queue, this is that role.

Candidates with investment management or asset management industry experience are strongly preferred. Understanding how the business actually uses this data is a significant advantage in this environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance and coordinate priorities across the Data and Distribution domain
  • Support incident investigation, service requests, problem management, operational changes, and release readiness
  • Lead complex troubleshooting and root-cause analysis within the agreed support boundary
  • Operate, monitor, and support Snowflake, dbt Cloud, Fivetran, Collibra, and associated data workflows
  • Support AEM, Adobe Campaign, Salesforce C360, Workfront, and related distribution applications
  • Diagnose application, API, data-movement, and integration dependencies, coordinating with appropriate resolver groups
  • Perform operational remediation and preventive improvements within the Level 2 support boundary
  • Contribute to monitoring, diagnostics, runbook, and support-automation initiatives
  • Improve documentation, knowledge sharing, escalation quality, and recurring-incident prevention
  • Guide engineers through complex investigations and coordinate with technical, product, business, and vendor stakeholders
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years supporting enterprise data platforms, SaaS applications, or production environments
  • Strong experience with Snowflake, advanced SQL, and Python
  • Experience with dbt Cloud, Fivetran, or comparable data‑pipeline technologies
  • Experience monitoring and troubleshooting production data workflows
  • Experience guiding technical work, coordinating delivery, or mentoring engineers
  • Strong troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and stakeholder communication skills
  • Understanding of APIs, data movement, integrations, and production‑support practices
  • Familiarity with ITIL incident, problem, and change management
Preferred
  • Investment management or asset management industry experience
  • Client-facing, consulting, or managed‑services experience
  • Experience with Collibra or another data‑governance platform
  • Experience with AEM, Adobe Campaign, Salesforce C360, or Workfront
  • Experience diagnosing Azure APIM or other enterprise integration dependencies
  • Experience with enterprise observability and service‑management tools
  • Experience developing operational monitoring, diagnostic tools, or support automation
Interview Process
