Job summary

KeyBank is seeking a seasoned Senior Engineer to lead the design, automation, and deployment of an enterprise data discovery and inventory platform in Brooklyn, Ohio. The role focuses on scaling secure engineering solutions to advance data protection and privacy capabilities.

The candidate will design architectures, build automation pipelines, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with governance, privacy, and infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of full-stack engineering experience, with Python and SQL.
• Experience in data discovery or data protection.
• Proficiency with JSON, XML, REGEX and RESTful APIs.
• Terraform for infrastructure automation and management.
• Familiarity with agile SDLC.
• Experience with BigID, PKProtect or similar platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design & Architecture: Lead scalable automated data discovery solutions.
• Automation: Build pipelines for data classification and inventory updates.
• Engineering Excellence: Develop software using Python, JSON, XML, REGEX and RESTful APIs.
• Collaboration: Mentor junior engineers and work with data governance, privacy, and infrastructure teams.
• Technical Planning: Scope technical projects, estimate time, dependencies, and risk.
• Architecture Strategy: Align technology with business needs and plan architectural changes.
