Job summary

Sphera is seeking a data content developer to design, develop, and maintain data-driven solutions within existing application frameworks. Translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable implementations and ensure data quality across large datasets.

Qualifications

• Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development using object-oriented programming languages, preferably C#.
• Strong experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience designing and supporting data-centric applications.
• Familiarity with large datasets and data processing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data-driven solutions within existing application frameworks.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into efficient, scalable implementations.
• Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, scripts, and data transformation processes.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and data-related issues.
• Collaborate with regulatory analysts and cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and accuracy.
• Contribute to system enhancements, performance improvements, and ongoing product development initiatives.
• Participate in estimation, planning, testing, and deployment activities.
• Support the maintenance and evolution of large-scale regulatory data products.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience 5+ years of experience in software development using object-oriented programming languages, preferably C#.
• Strong experience working with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience designing and supporting data-centric applications.
• Familiarity with large datasets and data processing concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with big data technologies and data management practices.
• Knowledge of XML, XSLT, Oracle Database, and Git.
• Experience writing technical specifications and documentation.
• Knowledge of regulatory, chemical, environmental, or product stewardship domains.
• Ability to work with multilingual datasets.
