Job summary

The Swift Group, LLC seeks a Senior Database Developer in Herndon, VA to design, develop, and manage scalable data pipelines and infrastructure with a focus on AWS cloud services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven applications and analytics in an Agile setting.

Responsibilities include designing and managing database systems (AWS RDS for PostgreSQL and SQL databases), optimizing data structures and load routines, and supporting Power BI dashboards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in database development and data management.
• Demonstrated PostgreSQL and SQL database experience with views, triggers, and stored procedures.
• Proficiency in SQL scripting, indexing, and query optimization.
• Experience developing and interfacing with APIs and data structures/load routines.
• Strong AWS knowledge and Agile project management experience.
• U.S. citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage scalable database systems, focusing on AWS RDS for PostgreSQL and SQL databases.
• Manage data structures and load routines to support application development and users.
• Work with Power BI and other reporting tools for analytics and visualization.
• Develop interfaces with APIs and support cross-functional development teams in AWS environments.
