Job summary

The Swift Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Database Developer in the Herndon, VA area to design, develop, and manage scalable data pipelines and infrastructure with a focus on AWS services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven applications and analytics in an Agile setting.

Responsibilities include designing and maintaining PostgreSQL/SQL databases, implementing efficient load routines, and integrating APIs while leveraging AWS environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated database experience with PostgreSQL and SQL databases.
• Proficiency in views, triggers, and stored procedures.
• Strong SQL scripting, indexing, and optimization knowledge.
• Experience in developing and interfacing with APIs.
• Experience building data structures and load routines for business use.
• Relational data cleansing, transforming, and processing.
• Knowledge of AWS environments.
• Experience in an Agile project management framework.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage database systems, focusing on AWS RDS for PostgreSQL and SQL databases.
• Manage data structures and load routines to support application development and user support.
• Work with reporting tools like Power BI.
• Develop and interface with APIs, supporting development teams and AWS environments.
