Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Associate – Data Controls & Governance to support evaluation and enhancement of controls around financial and asset projection data. The role will assess data sourcing, transformation, storage, governance, and reporting to ensure data quality, lineage, security, and reliability.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with data lineage, data quality controls, and access/change management controls, plus a background in data governance and risk disciplines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data controls, risk and controls, internal audit, data governance, or related area.
• Hands-on experience assessing data lineage and data quality controls.
• Experience evaluating access management and/or change management controls.
• Understanding of data governance principles and control frameworks.
• Ability to evaluate control design and identify potential gaps or weaknesses.
• Experience documenting control design, testing procedures, results, and recommendations.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate the design and operation of controls governing financial and asset projection data.
• Assess data throughout its lifecycle, including sourcing, transformation, storage, and reporting.
• Review data governance documentation, including data dictionaries, data lineage, quality rules, and control inventories.
• Test workflows to evaluate control coverage, segregation of duties, and evidence retention.
• Assess data quality, access management, and change management controls.
• Identify control gaps, weaknesses, and areas of risk.
• Develop remediation recommendations and target‑state control designs.
• Document control assessments, testing procedures, findings, risk ratings, and recommendations.
• Partner with technology, risk, data, and business stakeholders to establish control ownership and remediation timelines.
• Support the development of metrics and monitoring processes to measure ongoing control effectiveness.
• Provide clear, actionable recommendations to management to strengthen data governance and control environments.
