Job summary

Trility Consulting LLC is seeking a Senior Data Consultant to modernize an Azure Synapse data platform and migrate workloads to Microsoft Fabric. You will partner with Trility consultants and client engineers to build scalable, metadata-driven ingestion, validate migrations, and establish automated CI/CD workflows.

Experience with Claude Code and data governance is valuable. Remote role in the United States, with flexible hours and a W2 arrangement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Azure Data Services including Fabric, Synapse, ADF, or Databricks.
• Strong production experience with Fabric architecture, lakehouses, pipelines, and notebooks.
• Experience building metadata-driven ingestion and CI/CD for data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and refine the Microsoft Fabric architecture and ingestion patterns.
• Design metadata-driven ingestion for onboarding new tables via configuration.
• Migrate data sources from Azure Synapse to Microsoft Fabric in production.
• Develop data pipelines and notebooks using PySpark and Spark SQL.
• Implement data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks across migrations.
• Establish Git-based CI/CD and automated environment promotion for Fabric artifacts.
• Leverage Claude Code to guide implementation and review generated code.
• Assess data dictionary, lineage, and catalog requirements (Purview or similar).
• Apply best practices for performance, testing, security, and operations.
