Job summary

Trility Consulting LLC is seeking a Senior Data Consultant to modernize an Azure Synapse data platform and migrate workloads to Microsoft Fabric. You will design scalable ingestion frameworks, build metadata-driven pipelines, and implement automated CI/CD workflows while collaborating with client engineers to establish sustainable standards.

You will work in a fully remote W2 role for clients across the United States, contributing to a state-of-the-art lakehouse architecture and ensuring data

Qualifications

• 5+ years with Azure Data Services and Fabric.
• Production ETL/ELT experience and scalable data pipelines.
• Metadata-driven ingestion framework design and onboarding.
• Spark notebooks and data transformation with PySpark/Spark SQL.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and refine the Fabric architecture and ingestion patterns.
• Design a metadata-driven ingestion framework for on-boarding sources.
• Migrate prioritized data sources from Azure Synapse to Fabric.
• Develop and orchestrate Fabric data pipelines and Spark notebooks.
• Analyze existing Synapse pipelines and translate to Fabric.
• Build data validation and reconciliation processes for migrations.
• Evaluate loading patterns (full/CDC) for sources.
• Implement Git-based CI/CD for Fabric artifacts and pipelines.
• Utilize Claude Code for AI-assisted development and reviews.
• Assess data dictionary, metadata, and lineage requirements.
• Collaborate with client engineers to establish standards.
• Apply data engineering best practices for performance and security.
