Jane Street Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Data Center Mechanical Engineer to shape how we approach cooling our data centers in New York and beyond. You will connect high‑level design with practical infrastructure, optimizing for AI workloads and high‑density GPUs.

You’ll lead cross‑functional teams, design and monitor power and cooling systems, and translate compute needs into scalable data‑center solutions while collaborating with vendors, traders, and ML researchers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in thermal/mechanical or data center engineering.
• Direct experience with multi-megawatt GPU deployments.
• Hands-on data center operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and monitor data center power and cooling systems.
• Translate compute needs into infrastructure requirements.
• Develop design docs, cooling and power calculations, CFD studies.
• Lead an interdisciplinary team including ML researchers, traders, and facilities staff.
• Communicate constraints clearly to technology teams.
