Job summary

Serverfarm is seeking an Operations Leader to oversee 24/7 monitoring and management of critical electrical, mechanical, and environmental systems in a high-demand data center environment. You will guide shift teams, validate performance, and drive safety and efficiency across facilities.

As a senior techncial resource, you will lead preventive and corrective maintenance, review procedures, and participate in risk assessments to ensure reliable operations for a growing portfolio of locations.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading technical teams in critical facilities.
  • Strong understanding of electrical/mechanical systems within data centers.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and incident investigations.

Operations Leadership & Monitoring
  • Serve as the senior technical resource during assigned shifts
  • Monitor and manage electrical, mechanical, and environmental systems
  • Lead response to alarms, events, and abnormal conditions
  • Conduct detailed facility walkthroughs and validate system performance
  • Lead shift turnovers and status communications
Electrical & Mechanical Systems Execution
  • Operate and maintain UPS, generators, switchgear, ATS/STS, PDUs, and RPPs
  • Operate and support chillers, cooling towers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, and valves
  • Execute system switching, load transfers, and isolations per approved procedures
  • Identify system deficiencies and single points of failure
Maintenance & Change Management
  • Lead preventive and corrective maintenance activities
  • Review, validate, and execute MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs
  • Participate in change management and risk assessments
  • Oversee vendor activities and verify post-maintenance restoration
Safety, Compliance & Risk Management
  • Enforce LOTO, electrical safety, arc-flash, and PPE requirements
  • Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain and review operational logs and maintenance records
  • Contribute to procedures and technical documentation
Training, Mentorship & Development
  • Mentor junior technicians and new hires
  • Support qualification programs and skill assessments
