Job summary

Serverfarm is a leading developer and operator of data centers, with a focus on delivering 100% uptime for critical infrastructure across global facilities. This role requires hands-on experience with MEP systems, safety practices, and working in a fast-paced data center environment.

Join our team to maintain chilled water and DX cooling, UPS/generator backups, and BMS/fire alarm systems while adhering to SF policies and procedures and supporting external contractors on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in operating and maintaining data center infrastructure.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for critical facilities.
• Ability to monitor and respond to environmental conditions and power systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain MEP plant to industry standards.
• Monitor power and environmental conditions in critical spaces.
• Execute maintenance tasks using the CMMS and follow SF processes.
• Plan and schedule corrective maintenance activities.
• Escort and support external contractors per SF rules.
• Respond to site incidents and document actions taken.
• Support Change Control and site policy development.
• Ensure 100% uptime of critical infrastructure.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure that all MEP plant and distribution infrastructure is operated and maintained in a safe manner, to best industry practice and within manufacturers recommendations.
• Monitor power and environmental conditions within all critical spaces within the facility.
• Perform assigned maintenance tasks in accordance with SF practices utilizing the internal CMMS.
• Assist with planning and scheduling corrective maintenance activities
• Escort and support outside contractors, ensuring they are abiding SF work rules and processes
• Respond to site incidents, execute appropriate MOP/EOP documentation to resolve and/or mitigate issues and communicate to manage throughout event.
• Support and follow all SF Change Control policies and procedures.
• Perform site rounds and report any issues found to site management.
• Participate in construction and commissioning activities as directed by site management
• Adhere to all local, state and federal safety laws and requirements
• Complete other duties as assigned by the management team
• Participate in and support MOP/SOP/EOP documentation process for site.
• Participate in and support the development of site policies and standards
• Work with site team members to deliver 100% uptime of critical infrastructure
• Experience working in a Data Center with proven success in delivering customer requirements in a critical technology environment
• Evidence of self-management and alignment with ever-changing priorities
• Good written and oral communication skills, tenacity, and working to a high level of accuracy

$33 - $38 an hour
