Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Data Center Administrator to build and manage our data center infrastructure. You will install and operate server, network, and power systems, rack and cable hardware, and apply best practices for high availability and security.

Responsibilities include incident resolution across multiple data centers, lifecycle management of data center hardware, and collaboration with teams to optimize operations and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent data center experience.
• 3+ years in data center operations or IT hardware environments.
• Experience with Linux and Windows server administration is required.
• Proven ability to deploy, monitor, and maintain data center equipment.
• Familiarity with data center management tools (DCIM) and server management tools.

Responsibilities

• Resolve incidents across multiple data centers and manage lifecycle of hardware.
• Rack, cable, deploy, and decommission data center equipment.
• Monitor environmental conditions, power, and cooling for servers and gear.
• Run diagnostics, replace failing components, and upgrade hardware as needed.
• Document processes and maintain event logs; coordinate with procurement.
