Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a data-driven Senior Category Manager to scale off-site Data Center Construction, drive efficiencies, and reduce costs across the Americas data center network. You will manage supplier relationships, develop metrics, and lead bidding and negotiations while applying deep analytical and financial acumen to enable on-time delivery and tangible business impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program, project or product management experience.
• 6+ years of related industry experience.
• 8+ years of data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments.
• Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company.
• Experience in program, project or product management, or leading product implementation.

Responsibilities

• Scale off-site Data Center Construction and build-out scope with internal partners and suppliers.
• Drive efficiencies, reduce risks, and costs for Amazon.
• Develop mechanisms and metrics to hold suppliers accountable for performance and delivery.
• Lead competitive bidding, negotiating, and analyzing data and market trends for your category.
• Influence teams to adopt change utilizing smart technologies.
