Job summary

Metric DCX is building a pioneering AI infrastructure platform and seeks a Site Selection & Development Director based in Palo Alto to identify and secure premier data center sites across the US, including greenfield and hyperscale opportunities.

You will lead land acquisition, zoning, power diligence, and incentives negotiations, coordinating across energy, construction, legal, and finance teams; relocation packages are available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience across data center site selection, land acquisition or infrastructure development.
• Hyperscale or major developer/operator experience is highly relevant.
• Relocation to Palo Alto offered with a competitive compensation package.

Responsibilities

• Site selection and land acquisition.
• Utility engagement and power diligence.
• Zoning, entitlements and permitting.
• Powered shell, BTS and colo opportunities.
• Negotiating land purchases, leases and incentives.
• Taking sites from screening through diligence, negotiation and approval.
• Collaborating with energy, construction, design, legal and finance teams.
