Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a Senior Data Center Risk Management Specialist for NYC, focusing on construction and operations risk across hyperscale and enterprise data centers. You will partner with firm leadership as the SME, overseeing design of risk architecture and lender-aligned programs.

You will operate autonomously with clients, developers, lenders, and general contractors, driving risk strategy without book-carrying duties while ensuring governance and compliance across multiple

Qualifications

• Deep, hands-on expertise in data center construction and operations risk.
• Proven experience designing and administering OSIP/CCIP programs.
• Experience working with lenders, developers, and large general contractors on complex projects.
• Experience with hyperscale, enterprise, or mission-critical infrastructure assets.
• Executive gravitas and comfort operating in high-stakes environments.

Responsibilities

• De-risk project financing with sophisticated insurance architecture.
• Own OSIP / CCIP governance and subcontractor compliance.
• Lead insurance-related provisions in lease negotiations.
• Build a repeatable, scalable data center risk playbook for the firm.
• Design and execute insurance placement strategies for data center construction and live operations.
• Manage alignment with lender covenants, financing requirements, and capital partners.
• Structure retentions, limits, and coverage to optimize protection.
• Translate technical risk concepts for non-insurance stakeholders.
