Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Reliability Engineer to proactively identify and mitigate reliability risks for datacenter infrastructure, including generators, transformers, switchgear, UPS, and power equipment.

You will drive root cause analysis, collaborate with suppliers and internal teams, and develop reliability models and risk analyses to improve datacenter availability for AWS customers. Travel within the US and internationally is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience.
6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities.

Responsibilities

Drive reliability risk identification, assessment and mitigation for datacenter infrastructure (e.g., LV generators, MV transformers, LV SWGR, breakers, UPS, HV transformers).
Perform root cause analysis of critical equipment failures and drive continuous improvements to datacenter availability.
Lead vendor auditing and quarterly reviews to improve datacenter availability and supplier performance.
Develop system-level reliability models and perform reliability quantification and risk analysis for datacenter configuration optimization.
