Job summary

WB Engineers+Consultants is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to act as the on-site operations representative for data center construction projects. You will safeguard construction quality to meet operational requirements before turnover and bridge design intent with field execution.

You will perform QA/QC, conduct on-site inspections, review MEP designs, coordinate with engineers, project delivery managers, commissioning teams, and contractors, and maintain thorough documentation including

Qualifications

• Implement and uphold QA/QC standards to verify all work meets design specifications.
• Conduct on-site inspections and quality walkdowns with emphasis on MEP systems.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with plans, specifications, and drawings.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with operational requirements.
• Prepare and maintain inspection records, test results, and as-built drawings.

Responsibilities

• Implement and uphold QA/QC standards by enforcing checklists and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct on-site inspections and quality walkdowns across disciplines, emphasizing mission-critical MEP systems.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with plans, specifications, and drawings; perform quality control inspections of materials and workmanship.
• Identify and report safety hazards, ensuring adherence to safe work practices.
• Coordinate with data center design engineers, project delivery managers, commissioning teams, contractors, and subcontractors to align with operational requirements.
• Review data center MEP designs and discipline plans from an operations perspective to improve maintainability and reliability.
• Prepare and maintain documentation including daily progress reports, inspection records, test results, and as-built drawings.
• Verify installation quality against contract documents, checking labeling, sizes, torque, components, and location.
• Provide recommendations and solutions for identified issues and drive resolution with designers, suppliers, and clients.
