Job summary

Wesco is seeking a Senior Project Manager/Engineer for data center expansion projects. You will oversee design, budgeting, scheduling, and contractor coordination to ensure timely, high-quality, and cost-effective delivery.

Responsibilities include consulting on existing systems, evaluating upgrades, and maintaining strong client/vendor relationships to support ongoing operations and future opportunities. Travel across the U.S. may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of applicable work experience.
• Strong planning, scheduling and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience with building electrical/mechanical systems a plus.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office suite desired.

Responsibilities

• Prepare designs, specs, and drawings for repair/upgrade of building systems; manage RFPs.
• Lead project team and sub-contractors to meet goals for quality, schedule and budget.
• Provide owner’s rep services by evaluating existing systems and recommending actions.
• Build client relationships and pursue new opportunities; develop contractor networks.
• Oversee pre-construction activities and contract development; manage bids and awards.
• Manage construction administration during major system upgrades.
• Coordinate sub-contractors to ensure proper installation and delivery.
• Ensure on-time, on-spec, within-budget project implementation; maintain records.
• Provide ongoing technical support for data center operations; respond to emergencies.
