Job summary

Harder Mechanical Contractors Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to lead the mechanical scope on a large-scale data center in rural Texas. You will supervise multidisciplinary teams, manage budget and schedules, and ensure quality from preconstruction to turnover.

The role requires 7+ years in project management with mechanical systems, a relevant degree, and proficiency with Procore and Bluebeam. Join a company known for safety, growth, and strong client partnerships.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project management experience, preferably with mechanical systems
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business Management, Mechanical, Industrial, Civil Engineering and/or equivalent experience or education
• Experience with Procore and Primavera P6 is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of assigned mechanical construction scopes from planning through project closeout
• Develop and execute project strategies prioritizing safety, quality, schedule and client satisfaction
• Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, design teams, vendors, and internal teams
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, change management, and cost reporting for financial success
• Oversee procurement of major mechanical equipment, materials, and subcontracted work while mitigating supply chain risks
• Lead scheduling efforts with field leadership to support milestones
• Develop work plans and staffing strategies for complex mechanical installations
• Review risks and implement proactive solutions to minimize schedule and budget impacts
• Ensure RFIs, submittals, change orders, turnover docs, commissioning and turnover are completed on time
• Provide leadership and development for project engineers
• Promote safety and operational excellence throughout the project
