Job summary

Jacobs is seeking two Senior Procurement Managers to support MEP Data Center Construction on projects in Saint Francisville, LA and Corpus Christi, TX. You will navigate drawings, specs, estimates, bid packages, contracts, schedules, and change orders in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 7–12 years in construction/procurement, with strong MEP and data center experience, advanced Excel, and demonstrated commercial leadership.

Qualifications

• Approximately 7–12 years of experience in construction, procurement, preconstruction, project management, or commercial management.
• Experience with a general contractor, electrical/mechanical contractor, or major subcontractor.
• Strong preference for data centers or other technically complex projects.
• Significant experience procuring MEP trades and major equipment.
• Experience reviewing change orders and cost backup; understand contracts and terms.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for major construction trade packages and equipment.
• Personally prepare and issue subcontractor RFPs and equipment RFQs.
• Identify, source, and qualify contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers.
• Manage bidder communications, RFIs, clarifications, addenda, and bid deadlines.
• Review proposals for scope, exclusions, schedule, and commercial terms.
• Lead commercial negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers and draft PO/subcontract documents.
• Drive packages from strategy through award and handoff to the project team.
• Read contracts, review change orders, and reconcile pricing with norms and backup.
• Track committed costs, forecast exposure, and develop defensible commercial positions.
