Sirius Staffing is seeking a Senior/Principal Electrical Power Systems Engineer for data-center and mission-critical applications. Location is Trussville, AL preferred, with remote candidates traveling 30%–50%. The role focuses on complete AC/DC power architectures and testing/commissioning.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in power systems, MV/LV distribution expertise, and hands-on experience with ETAP/SKM/EasyPower. relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of electrical power-systems design experience.
• Strong knowledge of AC and DC electrical power systems.
• Experience designing medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems.
• Experience with ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower or equivalent software.
• Ability to travel ~30%–50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of complete electrical power-system architectures for mission-critical/data center apps.
• Translate requirements into reliable electrical solutions.
• Perform load calculations, system modeling, equipment sizing and power-system analysis.
• Conduct studies: load flow, short circuit, arc flash, protection coordination.
• Specify major electrical equipment: transformers, switchgear, relays, UPS, BESS, generators.
• Develop one-line diagrams, layouts, specs, and calculations.
• Support integration with controls, mechanical, product, and manufacturing teams.
• Lead testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Provide technical recommendations based on studies and standards.
