DigitalOcean is seeking a Datacenter Power Systems Engineer to lead design, deployment, and monitoring of high-density power infrastructure across our growing footprint. You will own power topics, drive reliability, and collaborate with Infra teams to ensure facility readiness in a fast-paced, disruption-friendly environment.

Qualificações

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience deploying and operating power infrastructure at scale.
• Understanding of facility power topologies and technologies.
• Knowledge of power quality, load management, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, UL and arc flash safety.
• Strong communication and collaboration.
• Passion for constant improvement.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as SME for power-related engineering topics at DigitalOcean.
• Serve as SME for cooling-related engineering topics at DigitalOcean.
• Evangelize power distribution and efficiency technologies throughout the Infra organization and company.
• Develop and maintain standards and practices for DigitalOcean datacenter facilities.
• Inform facility design requirements with best practices for medium- and low-voltage power distribution, redundancy topologies, and high-density rack power delivery.
• Liaise with colocation facility engineering teams regarding electrical system designs.
• Liaise with vendor hardware engineering teams regarding hardware electrical design requirements.
• Lead selection of rack power distribution systems during hardware design, ensuring designs can scale with us.
• Develop power monitoring tooling and systems to aggregate electrical monitoring information and provide alerting capabilities.
• Coordinate with operations on monitoring thresholds, failure modes and alerting.
• Assist in troubleshooting cause of failures and work to prevent them in the future.
• Work closely with Infra teams to ensure facility readiness for next-generation solutions.
