Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Sr. Manager, Data Center Operations to lead our colocation facilities. The role requires deep operational knowledge of electrical redundancy, direct liquid cooling, and data center facility management, with a focus on GPU-driven compute and scale.

You will work with cross-functional teams and vendors to design solutions, oversee daily operations, optimize performance, report milestones to senior leadership, and help onboard new customers to our data center services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 12+ years of data center operations experience with high-density compute.
• Strong understanding of electrical redundancy and power distribution.
• Hands-on experience with direct liquid cooling systems.
• Proven leadership, collaboration, and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Data Center Solution: design scalable data center infrastructure and align with standards.
• Data Center Operations: oversee daily high-density data center operations.
• Data Center Electrical Infrastructure: manage UPS, ATS, generators, and cooling.
• Direct Liquid Cooling: lead DLC systems, monitor flow, water treatment, CDU support.
• Data Center Sourcing & Partnerships: lead site evaluations and partnerships.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: partner with engineering, facilities, and operations.
• Executive Reporting: provide milestones, risks, and ROI updates to senior leadership.
• Customer Facing: translate customer needs into technical requirements.
• On-boarding of Customers: implement solutions for onboarding to colocation facilities.
• Infrastructure Optimization: monitor and improve energy efficiency and costs.
