Job summary

Switch is hiring a Senior Data Center Mechanical Engineer to join a world-class team overseeing critical infrastructure in data centers. You will optimize power, water, and cooling systems, lead continuous improvement, and manage lifecycle programs.

Travel and global coordination may be involved. You will analyze system performance, support capital projects, and coordinate with operations, design engineering, field engineering, and safety teams to uphold reliability and standards across

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or higher, PE preferred.
• Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems in data centers.
• Ability to read P&IDs, wiring diagrams, schematics.
• Strong data analysis methodologies and business acumen.
• Proven leadership and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, conduct RCA, and create CA documentation for equipment failures.
• Support operations as SME for issue resolution and event response.
• Perform availability, capacity, efficiency, and sustainability analyses for electrical systems.
• Monitor data center performance trends and produce risk/mitigation reports.
• Lead design feedback and coordinate with engineering for upgrades.
• Serve as resident engineer for construction and retrofit projects.
