Job summary

CAI seeks a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer with 5–10 years of Data Center Commissioning experience to support all mechanical aspects of commissioning projects. The role involves developing test procedures, coordinating with vendors, reviewing submittals, and delivering turnovers to clients.

The engineer will ensure safety, QA/QC, and reporting across mechanical systems, BAS/BMS integration, and project schedules. Extensive travel (75%) may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five to ten years Data Center Commissioning experience.
• Knowledge of BAS/BMS, HVAC equipment, and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Support safety for all mechanical tests and commissioning.
• Develop and QA/QC mechanical test procedures and checklists.
• Prepare reports and daily status updates for the commissioning team.
• Coordinate with vendors and customers to ensure schedule adherence and quality.
